Kathmandu, Feb 23 : President Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed sorrow over the demise of popular folk singer and artiste Jayananda Lama.
“The passing away of Lama is an incredible loss for the Nepali art sector,” the Head –of-the-State said in a tweet today. The President also pays tribute to the late singer, extending a heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family.
Similarly, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the nation has lost a dedicated singer and artist with untimely demise of Lama. Paying tribute to the late singer, the Prime Minister has extended a heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family. Lama, 66, passed away this morning.
