Karnali, Dec 12 : President Bidya Devi Bhandari has arrived in Jumla in connection with inaugurating various medical programmes, including MBBS, at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) today. She arrived in Jumla at 11.20 am by helicopter.
The President is presently at the Nandabaks Battalion of Nepali Army at Khalanga, the headquarters of Jumla district, which is some 700 metres away from KAHS. KAHS Vice Chancellor Dr Mangal Rawal said the President will travel on foot from there to the Academy.
"The President will inaugurate the MBBS, B Pharma, BNS, BMS and other courses for the first time at KAHS Jumla," Dr Rawal said.
The Head-of-State will also today lay the foundation stone for construction of the medical education building of KAHS being constructed at a cost of Rs 760 million.
