Morang, Oct 23: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Narayan Khadka, has said that there was the possibility of forming a government under the leadership of Nepali Congress in Province 1.
Talking briefly to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today, Minister Khadka shared that a decision would be taken regarding the formation of a new government after the vote of confidence that is scheduled on Sunday.
He further said that a decision would be taken in a package regarding the formation of a new provincial government on the basis of discussion and consensus among alliance parties participating in Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government.
The Foreign Minister mentioned that MCC would be passed at a common consensus by holding mutual discussions among all parties.
Responding to a query, he shared that there was no possibility of 'early election' immediately, but the election might take place on coming April/May if consensus is forged among the ruling alliance parties.
Minister Khadka extended tribute to the people who lost their lives due to landslides and floods following unseasonal rainfall and expressed commitment to provide more relief after collecting details of damages of crops and livestock.
