Kathmandu, Mar. 6: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said he would return to regular duty soon. PM Oli who had undergone kidney transplant two days back at TU Teaching Hospital shared this with his chief political advisor Bishnu Rimal over telephone.
"My health is gradually improving. So, I return to my work soon", press advisor Surya Thapa said, quoting the PM. The PM, as Thapa said, requested for informing friends and people on his improved health status.
None is allowed to meet PM Oli in person in view of the chances of infection, the doctors attending the PM said. "None except the doctors and nurses involved in kidney transplant and critical care of PM Oli is allowed to meet him. Even the family members have not met him," Thapa added.
Moreover, Executive Director at TU Teaching Hospital, Prem Krishna Khadka, informed that PM Oli would return home in a week.
Press advisor Thapa further said information on PM's health would be shared regularly.
Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Health and Population, Bhanubhakta Dhakal, and others reached the TU Teaching Hospital to acquire information about PM's health on Thursday itself.
