Meanwhile, leaders of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have gathered at party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda''s residence to discuss the PM's decision.

"The leaders have consulted about the problems caused by the decision of PM Oli," said Bishnu Sapkota, press advisor to Prachanda.

Sapkota informed that leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhalanath Khanal, and Narayan Kaji Shrestha among others were present in the meeting.

The leaders have said that it was uncertain whether the Standing Committee meeting called for today at 1:00 pm would take place or not. However, Prachanda, along with other party leaders will be visiting the PM's residence to hold talks on the recent political development.
