By Lucky Chaudhary, Kathmandu, Dec. 20: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has returned from the Sheetal Niwas.
After holding an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers, he had visited the President's residence with the recommendation of dissolution of the federal parliament, informed the PM's secretariat.
Ram Sharan Bajgain, press expert of the PM, confirmed that the PM had returned from the President's residence.
Meanwhile, leaders of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have gathered at party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda''s residence to discuss the PM's decision.
"The leaders have consulted about the problems caused by the decision of PM Oli," said Bishnu Sapkota, press advisor to Prachanda.
Sapkota informed that leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhalanath Khanal, and Narayan Kaji Shrestha among others were present in the meeting.
The leaders have said that it was uncertain whether the Standing Committee meeting called for today at 1:00 pm would take place or not. However, Prachanda, along with other party leaders will be visiting the PM's residence to hold talks on the recent political development.
Chairman Prachanda had visited the PM's residence today morning but he had returned without meeting the PM.
According to Sapkota, the decision as to holding or postponing the Standing Committee meeting would be taken only after the meeting is held between the party Chairmen.
