Butwal, Feb. 14: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has laid the foundation stone for the construction of Lumbini Cable Car here on Saturday.
The cable car is being constructed at a total cost of of over 3.52 billion rupees, which bridges Chidiya Khola of Butwal to Basantapur Danda of East Palpa.
Addressing the event, Prime Minister Oli said the country is on a journey of prosperity. “The development works are moving ahead at a fast pace.”
Stating that there should be no delay in the development drive Prime Minister Oli said that the construction of the cable car would be a leap forward in Lumbini’s economic and tourism sector.
Expressing his confidence that the project would be completed on time, he said that the government would extend all possible support for the project.
Chairman of the project Chandra Dhakal informed that they had targeted to complete the project within two years.
During the event, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel and Chief Minister of Lumbini province Shankar Pokharel also expressed their views.
