Kathmandu, Aug. 30: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today asked the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) to make arrangements for collecting garbage of the Kathmandu Valley by making necessary managements at the earliest possible time.
Calling Mayor Bidhya Sundar Shakya and Deputy Mayor Hari Prabha Khadka at the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar today, PM Deuba asked them to make immediate arrangements for garbage collection.
On the occasion, the PM assured of full support from the federal government to the KMC in this issue. According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, the PM directed the Mayor and Deputy Mayor to make necessary arrangements to collect garbage, saying that there would be coordination from the concerned government bodies.
