By Karun Aryal, Glasgow, Nov 2: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi today held a meeting here at Glasgow, Scotland in the UK.
The Prime Minister duo held the meeting on the sideline of the World Leaders' Summit of the 26th Conference of Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) being held in Glasgow.
The Foreign Ministry stated that Forest Minister Ramsaya Yadav and officials of the Foreign Ministry were present during the meeting.
In his Twitter handle, Prime Minister Deuba expressed happiness over having met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"I felt happy to meet with Narendra Modiji. The Himalayan region that we share is especially vulnerable and sustainable development is urgent for its future. I would like to thank him for raising this issue in priority and highlighting deeper cooperation on this in the future," PM Deuba said.
Similarly, Indian Prime Minister Modi has also lauded Prime Minister Deuba for raising appropriately the issues about risks posed by climate change in the Himalayan region.
