Biratnagar, Sept 15: State 1 Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai said on Sunday that peace, security and political stability were preconditions for the nation development.
Inaugurating the State-level security seminar organised by the Home Ministry and the State's Ministry for Internal Affairs and Law, the CM Rai said that peace, security, good governance and political stability were the preconditions to lead the country towards development and prosperity.
Agriculture, tourism and industry were top priorities of the State government, he said, arguing that overall situation of peace and security in the State was satisfactory.
He sought a collective approach to face possible security challenges.
Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hikmat Kumar Karki said the government was moving ahead to meet the goal of socialism which would eventually bring us prosperity and happiness.
Advisor to the Home Minister, Indrajeet Rai, Inspector General of Police Sarbendra Khanal, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Shailendra Khanal, State 1 Police Chief Thakur Prasad Gyawali and Chief District Officers from all 14 countries in the State were present in the meeting.
