Kathmandu, Jan. 23: The movie “Paradeshi-2” directed by Narayan Rayamajhi is scheduled to be released in Dashain festival in October .
Although it was said to be released in Dashain last year, it was not screened because of coronavirus. Now the production team has set its release date for this year’s Dashain.
The production team has fixed the release date as soon as the shooting of the movie got completed. Producer Rajesh Bansal said that the film was shot for 50 days before and after the lockdown.
The film has been shot in Pokhara, Palpa, Chitwan, Kathmandu and other places in Nepal along with various places in the United States and India.
Producer Bansal said that the screening date has been fixed after its shooting completed and the situation was returning to normalcy.
“We started shooting of the movie with the idea of ​​releasing in the last Dashain, but it was not possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the film will be released in Dashain this year,” he added.
Director Narayan Rayamajhi said that Dashain had to be chosen for the release of the film as the story is related to Dashain environment. He said that the theme of the film touches the heart of the audience.
“This time we have focused on the subject of Nepali students going abroad for study, and we hope the audience will like this,” said director Rayamajhi.
The story of the film has been written by Ramesh Viji. Dilip Rayamajhi, Prashant Tamang, Prakash Saput, Keki Adhikari, Barsha Siwakoti, Nir Shah, Sushil Pokhrel, Rama Thapaliya and Debendra Bablu among others have done the film.
Manip Krishna Maharjan has directed the cinematography while action is directed by Ashta Maharjan. Its music is by B.B Anuragi, choreography by Gobinda Rai and Ramji Lamichhane and editing by Dirgha Khadka.
