Kathmandu, Oct 10: Number of people entering the Kathmandu Valley after celebrating Bijaya Dashami has increased.
According to traffic police, 70,759 people and 11,421 vehicles entered the Valley from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning.
Similarly, 56,705 people left Kathmandu valley during the same period.
The highest number of people entered the Valley via Jagati check point of Bhaktapur district, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division.
A total of 38,933 people entered the Valley via Jagati, 26,356 from Nagdhunga check point, 1487 from Munkhu and 3,982 from Pharping check point.
Division Chief, Superintendent of Police Bhim Prasad Dhakal said, "Number of passengers entering Kathmandu Valley is high as compared to passengers leaving Kathmandu."
