Kathmandu, Apr. 13: The number of countries with which Nepal has diplomatic relations has reached 176 after the establishment of its diplomatic ties with Belize, a Caribbean country.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations Amrit Bahadur Rai and the Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Belize to the United Nations Carlos C Fuller signed a joint communiqué to this effect at a ceremony held at the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the UN this morning.
At a press conference organized at the ministry here today, Spokesperson Sewa Lamsal said the establishment of diplomatic relations has further heightened Nepal's image in the international arena.
On the occasion, she also shared the recent activities and progress of the ministry, including Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's three-day official visit to India
