By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May. 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that there was no reason to vote against the government.
"The current government has been able to practically strengthen nationality and nation's development," said the Prime Minister.
Addressing the House of Representatives (HoR) meet held today to obtain the vote of confidence, Prime Minister Oli requested everyone to introspect the result of not giving the vote of confidence to the government.
Stating that laws and rules can be changed on the basis of the need of the situation, the Prime Minister said that the Constitutional was not an unchangeable document.
"The public had been in threat of the politics of violence for decades. Thus, we need to promote peaceful political works in the upcoming days," he opined.
He added that protecting peoples' lives amid the COVID-19 pandemic was the government's topmost priority.
He said, "Corruption in various supplies used for the treatment of COVD-19 patients including medicines in the ongoing situation of crisis is not forgivable at any cost."
He assured that detailed investigation over those involved in corruption will be done and those found guilty will be punished.
