Kathmandu, Mar. 31: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has instructed the District Administration Offices (DAOs) not to approve the deputation and leave of the employees working in the district.
The Ministry has instructed the CDO offices across the country not to approve the deputation leave and other leaves of the employees working in the district except in case of any emergency in view of the local level elections slated for May 13.
"Holding a meeting of all the CDOs, we have instructed the concerned office employees not to provide any leave until the election ends except in any emergency situation," Joint Secretary and Spokesperson for the Ministry Phadindra Mani Pokhrel said.
The Home Ministry has convened a meeting of all the district office heads and instructed the CDOs to relay the message to their employees, Pokhrel said.
A meeting of the Central Security Committee chaired by Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on March 24 took the decision to issue circulars in the name of CDOs to stop granting any type of leave to its employees targeting the upcoming local elections.
