Kathmandu, Oct 4: The central, provincial and branch offices of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) will remain open from 11 am to 2 pm during the coming Dashain, Tihar and Chhath holidays.
The Commission has made arrangements for keeping the Complaints Section open on the festival holidays taking into consideration the protection of the human rights of the public, Commission's secretary Bed Bhattarai stated in a press release on Friday.
The NHRC will take complaints of human rights violation and atrocities during the festival period and will conduct emergency monitoring as well in case of cases of serious nature as required, the press release states.
