Chitwan, Nov 16 (RSS):
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has announced that new mountains would be opened for climbing in view of the Visit Nepal Year 2020.
The preparation for the Visit Year has been expedited, he said, adding that publicity for it has been made in the country and abroad. The international publicity of the Visit Year was made through the ambassadors.
The activities as sanitation in the touristy areas, announcement of attractive programmes by the entrepreneurs, public awareness on hospitability were continued, according to the Minister. Also prioritized were insurance to climber, rescue and guide training.
Grand programmes would be held in seven provinces and in the centre in January.
On a different note, Minister Bhattarai informed that process to upgrade Bharatpur airport had initiated. A committee was formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary at the Ministry, he added.
