By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Apr. 20: Nepalgunj will go into weeklong lockdown from April 22 as per the decision of the District COVID Crisis Management Committee (DCCMC), Banke.
Dirgha Raj Upadhyaya, assistant Chief District Officer of Banke, informed that a meeting of the DCCMC of Banke held today morning decided to impose lockdown as there was no option to break the chain of the high upsurge of corona as it was rapidly increasing in the community.
He said that different areas including Nepalgunj where number of daily virus cases was over 300 were already into high risk that it was a compulsion to impose lockdown to mitigate virus spread.
