Kathmandu, June 16: Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday that the relations between India and Nepal were unbreakable and the existing misunderstanding would be sorted out through dialogues.
He made these remarks while addressing the virtual rally of Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttarakhand.
Two days after the Lower House of Nepal’s Parliament unanimously endorsed the second amendment to the Constitution to update the country’s new political map in the Coat of Arms, Singh said the misunderstanding would be resolved through friendly dialogues.
Singh said that his government believed in sorting out the misunderstanding in relations with Nepal through dialogues, the online version of The Times of India reported.
Underscoring the deep ties between the two countries, Singh said both the countries were bound together by ‘roti’ (bread) and ‘beti’ (daughter) relations and no power in the world could break them.
“Our relations are not only historical and cultural, but also spiritual, and India can never forget it,” said Singh.
He further appreciated the valour and courage displayed by the soldiers of Gorkha Regiment on numerous occasions for India.
As reported by The Times of India, Singh asserted that if the road built by India had caused any misunderstanding among the people of Nepal, then it would be sorted out through dialogue.
“India could never have any bitterness about Nepal,” he said.
