Kathmandu, May 13: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has called its most awaited standing committee meeting for Wednesday morning.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at 11 am on Wednesday at the party’s central office in Dhumbarahi.
Earlier, the meeting was called for May 7. However, it was put off at the last minute, citing that the secretariat members had failed to draw up agendas for the standing committee meeting.
The NCP secretariat meeting was held on May 6 to discuss the agendas to be tabled at the standing committee meeting.
But the meeting ended without finalising the agendas to be presented in the standing committee meeting scheduled for May 7.
Following the accelerating differences within the party, 20 members of the standing committee close to party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal had submitted a written application demanding for the standing committee meeting at the earliest.
