By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Jan 23: Central secretariat member of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, Narayan Kaji Shreshtha, has been elected as the member of the National Assembly (NA).
Shrestha has been elected from Gandaki state.
Shrestha was elected with 3,462 votes against 2,244 votes of Surya Prasad Regmi of Nepali Congress, the main opposition party.
Similarly, NCP candidate Tulasa Dahal has been elected as lawmaker of the National Assembly from State 2.
Dahal secured 5,208 votes against 4,740 of Nagina Yadav.
Likewise, under the women category from Gandaki State, Bhagawati Neupane of the NCP has been elected as the NA member with 3,366 votes against 2,340 of Bimala Gautam of Nepali Congress.
NA election was held today in all seven states to elect 18 members.
