Amargadhi, Feb 1: An unidentified gang has abducted and thrashed ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Alital Rural Municipality committee chair Gyanendra Shahi on Friday.
According to Dadeldhura District Committee of the NCP, he was kidnapped while he was on the way to attending rural municipality ward meeting.
NCP district committee secretary Birendra Kumar Basnet, said chair Shahi was thrashed at Chaurbandale and left stranded in the district.
Alital Police post has shared that the chair Shahi was found seriously injured at the place and has referred to Kathmandu for treatment. Police have intensified search for the kidnappers. He has sustained injuries on head, hand and leg due to the beating.
