Kathmandu, Jan. 29: Prime Minister and chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Sharma Oli has said that his party has now turned more dynamic and disciplined, making it easier for the government to work for the country and countrymen.
Addressing a programme organised here by the General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) on Thursday, Prime Minister Oli said, “Earlier, the NCP was not like a political party. There was only squabbling. Now it has become more united and disciplined.”
Stating that the non-political and anarchic trend has now come to an end, chairman Oli said that the party purification work had been carried out within the NCP.
It was natural for the party workers and the people to worry about the political crisis, he said, adding that the government was now more focused on achieving the goal of prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali.
“The government is now headed toward a new direction by dissolving the House of Representatives (HoR) to prevent the political instability,” the Prime Minister said.
He further claimed that those leaders who have been creating obstructions in the government’s performance were the ones who overthrew his past government.
Stating that some political leaders were waiting for his demise to take over leadership, Prime Minister Oli said, “I am still young and it will be their illusion to consider me weak.”
“Socialism has already come for some political leaders and their families and relatives have already got all the comfort. But socialism is yet to come for Nepali people and combatants, wounded and maimed victims of the people’s war for which we are still struggling,” said chairman Oli.
The government would work for the country and the people in any difficult situation, he added.
In another context, he said the government has been running industries and employment-oriented programmes to create job opportunities.
Attempts were made to divide the labour movement in Nepal, claimed Chairman Oli, adding that workers should be united and headed toward the right direction.
“Some forces have created confusion among the workers by sharing false dreams. Those who are not tired of taking the name of the workers are found to be exploiting them. Workers must be aware of this and take a right path,” he added.
Sharing the government's plans, Prime Minister Oli said the government has been preparing to declare a rural industrial zone at the municipal level. “The country will prosper through our industry, production and export.”
He urged all to support the government’s campaign to build the country.
