Kathmandu, Dec 4 : The Secretariat Meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) today directed the related committees to send the review report on the by-election held on November 30 to the House of Representatives member, the State Assembly member and the local level office-bearers.
The meeting held at the Party's Central Office at Dhumrabarahi was chaired by chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'. The meeting directed the party committees from the ward level to the district level, where the by-election was held, to make a review of the by-election and send report on the same.
Party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that the next meeting of the Secretariat scheduled for December 9 will make a systematic assessment of the by-election.
According to him, the same meeting will discuss on the remaining works related to the organization and the meeting of the Standing Committee and the Central Committee, among other topics.
Today's meeting has passed a proposal wishing for speedy recovery to Prime Minister and party chair KP Sharma Oli who is recuperating at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic and Vascular Transplant Center at Maharajgunj in Kathmandu after undergoing surgery for appendicitis.
This is the first time that chairman Prachanda has presided over the meeting after the NCP Secretariat Meeting held on November 20 made a decision that Prachanda would concentrate on the party works and Prime Minister Oli in the government's works.
