Bharatpur, Feb 14 : Nepal Communist Party chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' on Thursday inaugurated the newly-constructed 'Umbrella Street' at Bharatpur metropolis-22, Patihani.
On the occasion, he expressed his confidence that the street would further help in the development and expansion of tourism in Patihani.
The street stretched over around 10 kattha land was constructed at the cost of Rs 30 million, shared ward chair Bishnu Raj Mahato.
As many as 480 colorful umbrellas have been set up in the street. The mosaic umbrellas have added beauty to the area.
The Patihani food festival has also been organized here to promote the umbrella street and local foods. The festival has 20 stalls.
