By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 1: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction has held the central committee meeting today at the Karki Banquet.
According to NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the meeting decided to approach the Election Commission for recognising the faction as the official NCP as the faction has the two-thirds majority of the NCP central committee of 441 members.
The meeting also decided to remove NCP chair KP Sharma Oli, also Prime Minister, even from general membership of the party. Likewise, the meeting decided to remove Bishnu Paudyal as the general secretary of the party.
