Kathmandu, Jan. 11: Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday said that it was not appropriate time to speak about the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HOR) as the case was still sub judice in the Supreme Court.
Speaking at the launching of ´Surya Prasad Upadhaya´s Special Book` published by the Democratic Thought Society, Deuba said his party would respect the court`s verdict.
Former Prime Minister Deuba further said that his party was awaiting the court verdict as it always respected the court decision.
He said it was not appropriate to take to the street against the House dissolution as the case was still sub judice.
Stating that the people were eager to cast vote, he said his party was ready to participate in the election if the Supreme Court endorsed the dissolution.
NC senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel said the Constitution did not allow the Prime Minister to dissolve the House.
He said the NC should demonstrate in the street demanding reinstatement of the House.
NC general secretary Dr. Shashanka Koirala said late Upadhaya had played an import role to make the party a strong political force in Nepal.
