NC office-bearers' meet concludes
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 27: The meeting of the office-bearers of Nepali Congress (NC) was held on Tuesday morning at Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's personal residence in Budhanilkantha.
Krishna Prasad Poudel, secretary at the NC party office, said that the Central Active Membership Investigation Committee had presented its report regarding active membership of the party in the meeting.
Poudel said that even though discussions were held regarding postponing the 14th General Convention of the party, the exact dates were not fixed in the meeting.
The report prepared by the committee, in which Ramesh Lekhak is the coordinator, was submitted to NC President Deuba, office bearers, former office bearers, and senior leaders.
Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, vice presidents Bimalendra Nidhi and Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar, secretaries Dr. Sashank Koirala and Purna Bahadur Khadka were present in the meeting.
The party has granted active membership to 854,711 people nationwide of which, 49,033 memberships were renewed while 443,678 new members were added.
