Kathmandu, May 21: Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) has offered 2 per cent discount in interest of all loans it mobilised till 12 April (end of the last Nepali calendar year). The offer will be valid from 13 April this year.
The announcement has come in line with the direction of the Nepal Rastra Bank to provide 2 per cent discount in all loans except those classified as ‘not beneficiaries’.
The bank said that the discount would be applied in 7.82 per cent base rate of Chaitra (14 March-12 April) in loans like hypothecation, working capital, margin demand, gold, hire purchase and individual.
Customers who have paid the installment of Baisakh will also get the discount.
According to the bank, most of its branches are open from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in weekdays and services like cash transaction and cheque clearing are being offered by it.
