By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 19: Offices have been opened in all districts and provinces to conduct activities related to the upcoming national census.
Offices have been opened in all 77 districts and seven states on Sunday.
Five in Kathmandu; Two offices have been set up in Sunsari, Morang, Lalitpur, Rupandehi, Kailali, and other districts and one each in other districts.
The District Census Officer and Assistant District Census Officer have reached the newly opened office on Sunday.
It is said that the department has already provided training to the 200 officers working in the office.
The trained employees have gone to the district and province level offices.
Hemraj Regmi, Deputy Director-General (DDG) of the Central Bureau of Statistics Office, said that the staff would play a role in the administrative work of enumerators and supervisors in the district.
The department has also started sending necessary materials for the census to the district and state offices.
The slogan for this year's census is 'My Census, My Participation'.
