Biratnagar, Oct 9: Newly-appointed Minister for Defense, Dr Minendra Prasad Rijal, has said that national security is a matter of collective consensus.
Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today, Minister Dr Rijal shared that national security policy would be formulated to best serve the nation's interest. Dr Rijal has already served the sector as a member of the national security drafting committee.
He noted that the Nepal Army has always been at the forefront in responding to natural disasters, adding the Nepal Army has gained high respect and dignity in the international arena.
Saying that the international community is satisfied with NA in terms of its performance, Minister Dr Rijal expressed his commitment that the government would never lag behind in enhancing the NA's pride.
