Kathmandu, Jan 9: Today's National Assembly meeting has passed two bills unanimously.
The meeting passed 'Policy Research Foundation Bill-2076' and 'Revenue Leakage (Investigation and Control) First Amendment Bill', presented by Finance Minister Dr Yubraj Khatiwada on the behalf of the Prime Minister.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to send Nepal Special Service Bill-2076 at Legislative Assembly Management Committee for clause-wise discussion.
Prior to this, responding to queries raised by lawmakers on Policy Research Foundation Bill, Minister Dr Khatiwada said that questions raised in the parliament could be addressed through amendment.
He expressed the belief that the Foundation Bill would be useful to make country's strategic relation, foreign policy and development works effective.
Meanwhile, 'Railway Bill-2076' has been tabled in today's meeting. Minister Dr Khatiwada tabled the bill on the behalf of the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
The next NA meeting has been scheduled on January 12.
