Rautahat, Nov. 12: A policeman was injured when two motorcycle-borne men from India hurled a bomb on Mathia Police Station located at Ishnath Municipality-4 in Rautahat district on Tuesday afternoon.
Police constable Ranjit Yadav sustained injuries in the bomb explosion, District Police Office Rautahat said. The blast on the police station took place this afternoon.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson Nabin Karki, an Indian national Chandan Kumar, 25, hailing from Dhaka area of the Indian state of Bihar, was arrested in the case.
Another Indian national involved in the incident is still at large following the incident, police said. A motorcycle with registration B.R. 0586501 was used in the incident. DSP Karki said that the condition of injured Yadav was normal.
A male goat also got killed due to the bomb attack in the incident.
The police have launched a probe into the incident. The police station is located near Nepal-India border.
