Kathmandu, Nov. 19: Most of the Justices of Supreme Court on Friday conducted hearing on all types of cases including habeas corpus.
Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana had assigned hearing to 10 benches—nine division and one single bench. A hearing under a single bench of Justice Nahakul Subedi did not take place today while haring on other benches was conducted.
Hearing was conducted on division bench of justices—Deepak Kumar Karki and Prakashman Singh Raut, Meera Khadka and Sushmalaya Mathema,
Hari Krishna Karki and Hari Phunyal, Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha and Tanka Bahadur Moktan, Dr Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Kumar Regmi,
Anil Kumar Sinha and Sapana Malla, Bam Kumar Shrestha and Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma and Tej Bahadur KC and Prakash Dhungana.
The Justices on Thursday had decided to pass a regulation for hearing cases on the basis of lottery system. With this decision, justices have resumed hearing today. They had refuted to sit for hearing from October 24, demanding reform in judiciary.
