Kathmandu, June 21: Monsoon that entered Nepal some days ago from the east has become active across the country. Today it is raining in Gandaki State, State 5 and some areas of Sudurpaschim State.
Rain is predicted across the country, said the Meteorological Forecasting Division. Scanty and moderate rain could occur in some places of the country in the next 24 hours and heavy rains in State 1, 2, 5, Bagmati State and some places of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim States, said the Division.
It urged all to stay safe as with rain, landslides could occur; rivers could be flooded; and road and airway obstructed in the areas. There have been westerly wind impacts in some areas of Sudurpaschim and monsoon wind impacts in other areas of the country, said meteorologist Bibhuti Pokharel.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded minimum temperature at 19 degrees and maximum at 25 degrees.
