By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 13: Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has called the SAARC member nations to frame a strong plan to fight the pandemic COVID-19.
“I would like to propose that the leadership of SAARC nations chalk out a strong strategy to fight Coronavirus,” he tweeted today.
Modi said that the SAARC nations could discuss the plan to keep their citizens safe through video conference.
“We could discuss, via video conferencing, ways to keep our citizens healthy,” read his tweet. “Together, we can set an example to the world, and contribute to a healthier planet.”
South Asia, which is home to a significant number of the global population should leave no stone unturned to ensure our people are healthy, said Modi.
Responding to which, PM KP Sharma Oli said that he welcomed the idea advanced by PM Modi.
“I welcome the idea advanced by PM Modi for chalking out a strong strategy by the leadership of SAARC nations to fight Coronavirus. My government is ready to work closely with SAARC member states to protect our citizens from this deadly disease,” PM Oli tweeted.
