Taplejung, Nov 12 : Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has said that a master plan would be unveiled for tourism promotion in eastern hilly districts including Taplejung.
Arguing that the tourism activities were slow despite immense potentials, Minister Bhattarai stated that plans for tourism development would be forwarded in this region.
Marking the beginning of Tourism and Mountaineering subject at Bhanujan Secondary School this morning, the Minister shared that the government would give special focus for Mt.
Kanchanjangha, Pathibhara Temple, Phungphunge falls, Timbung Pokhari and other touristic sites.
With the beginning of this subject, it is expected to contribute to ensure positive result in tourism sector.
Minister Bhattarai hoped that study of this subject would help promote tourism-friendly behaviours and other practices accordingly besides job creation.
On the occasion, he called for publicity, sufficient tourism infrastructure and tourism-friendly conducts as well as concerted efforts of all for the best use of the available opportunities.
