Kathmandu, Dec. 9: Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has expressed his commitment to ending all sorts of irregularities in the health sector.
Talking to journalists at the Ministry of Health and Population (MoPH) on Monday, Minister Dhakal shared that he would work to make the people experience the changes that had taken place in the health sector.
He said that the ministry was lagging behind in working within the systematic framework and added, “I will follow the working procedures in a systematic way.”
On the occasion, Minister Dhakal said, “Our citizens will never be denied of getting treatment at the government hospital.”
The government hospital should provide treatment to every needy and poor individual, added Minister Dhakal.
The implementation part of law and regulation at the health sector will be revised, said Minister Dhakal, adding “We are consulting with our stakeholders for the effective implementation of the laws.”
Dhakal said that the health staff adjustment was not done correctly. He commented that the trainee employees handling the local levels health sector was not a prudent act, which would not favour the health sector.
He said that among the 2000 complaints received from the health employees, 1000 were addressed and 1000 of them would be soon addressed.
Speaking on the staff adjustment Minister Dhakal said, “We are encouraging the adjustments of the staffs in the mountainous and hilly regions where there are many vacant posts for the health workers.”
“We need to deploy the staff at the places that are in urgent need of health workers,” said Minister Dhakal adding the problem regarding staffing will be solved gradually.
On the occasion, Minister Dhakal said that the foreign trips seemed to be person-centric in the ministry and commended to manage systematically.
