By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 2: Meeting of the task force formed by five ruling parties' alliance is currently being held at Baluwatar.
Bhanu Deuba, personal secretary of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, informed that the Prime Minister was also present in the meeting.
After winning the floor test held on July 18, the Deuba-led government has been focusing on expanding the council of ministers as soon as possible.
"Rather than the expansion of cabinet, the meeting today is focused on contemporary political issues and the basic functions of the task force," said Bhanu Deuba.
The task force comprises of General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka, Dr. Minendra Rijal and Ramesh Lekhak from Nepali Congress (NC), Barsaman Pun, and Dev Gurung from NCP (Maoist Centre), Mahendra Raya Yadav and Rajendra Shrestha from Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal. NC general secretary Khadka is the coordinator of the task force. However, the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of CPN-UML has not participated in the task force.
