Kathmandu, March 29: Medical goods including personal protective equipment (PPE) for the health workers have arrived from China. The medical goods were transported on a chartered flight of the Nepal Airlines Corporation.
The NAC widebody aircraft landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 5:00 this morning. It had left for Guangzhou, China on Saturday.
Medical goods including COVID-19 testing kits, PPE and medicines weighing around 13,000 kilogrammes were brought to Kathmandu in the NAC aircraft from Guangzhou of China, according to Chief of the NAC operations department, Dipu Juharchan.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Bikash Devkota also confirmed the arrival of medical goods from China. Around 50,000 COVID-19 testing kit and 100,000 sets of PPE have been brought among others.
