Kathmandu, July 13: Laxmi Bank has opened its 131st Branch in Mahendranagar, Ward No. 5 of Kshireshwor Municipality of Dhanusha district.
Located at Kshireshwor main chowk, the branch can offer full range of retail banking services including small businesses.
With the branch in Mahendranagar, the bank network increased to 131 branches across 48 districts, five hospital service counters, six extension counters, 160 ATMs, 2,500 remittance agents and 61 branchless banking agents spread across the country.
The bank is rapidly expanding to newer and underserved markets with the aim of servicing the growing demand for professional financial services such as innovative saving accounts, term deposits, home and auto loans, small business loans and microfinance, it said in a statement on Monday.
In the previous financial year 2019/20, Laxmi Bank closed with a balance sheet of Rs. 129 billion including deposits and risk assets of Rs. 100.07 billion and Rs. 89.89 billion respectively.
