By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 20: Lawyers have decided not to conduct arguments on cases except for habeas corpus at the courts across the country on Sunday.
A meeting of the central committee of the Nepal Bar Association held on Friday took a decision to this effect and also made public its additional protest programmes.
Issuing a statement on Saturday about the decision of the meeting, the NBA said that the protest programme was against the way the armed police force was deployed and let enter the courts to suppress the peaceful sit-ins and protest programmes, mishandling, beating and injuring the lawyers.
In the statement, NBA general secretary advocate Leelamani Paudel also mentioned that the national conference of the NBA planned for December 10-12 in Pokhara.
