By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 19: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed 711 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 10,333 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 711 persons, 278 females and 433 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.
Of the 711 new cases, 570 cases including 211 females and 359 males, were detected in Kathmandu, 83 cases including 37 females and 46 males, were found in Bhaktapur and 58 cases, including 30 females and 28 males were recorded in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 1,204 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Saturday, taking the national tally to 62,797 including 45,267 cases of recovery and 401 death cases.
