By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 21: The Ministry of Health and Population on Wednesday reported that 1,051 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.
"Of the 8,844 RT-PCR tests done in the last 24 hours, 1,051 people were found infected with the novel coronavirus in the Kathmandu Valley," informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson at the Health Ministry in the regular press briefing.
Of the 1,051 new infections, 84 were recorded in Bhaktapur, 181 were confirmed in Lalitpur and 786 were detected in Kathmandu.
Moreover, 2,220 new infections were confirmed across the nation in the last 24 hours.
