Kalikot, Dec 17 : Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has offered a labour donation on Tuesday in the district headquarters of Kalikot at Manma, where he worked for the construction of a ring road project.
The Chief Minister's voluntary labour contribution on the occasion meant to change the labour culture.
"No one is superior or inferior based on their jobs. The feudalistic culture should end," Shahi said while informing that all 79 local governments here have been asked to work by framing a plan of action based on labour policy.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Shahi said that the government has initiated the labour day campaign not just for the sake of showoff but to develop the labour culture in the real sense and asked all to extend their cooperation.
Social Development Minister of Karnali Province Dala Rawal; Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Minister Bimala KC, Mayor of Khandachakra Municipality Jaisi Prasad Pandey, high-ranking government officials and security forces from the province also joined the labour donation event.
