By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 13: The government of Japan has announced to provide 1.6 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to Nepal.
Issuing a press statement, the Embassy of Japan in Nepal informed that Japan was providing anti-coronavirus vaccines as grant assistance to Nepal.
Addressing the nation for the last time on Tuesday, outgoing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also mentioned that Japan was providing COVID-19 vaccines under grant assistance.
The vaccines will be administered to 1.4 million senior citizens who are waiting to receive their second jab.
