Kathmandu, Nov. 8: The Indian government on Thursday made its official views regarding its new map after the government and people of Nepal objected to it. During a weekly press briefing, Raveesh Kumar, Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs India, expressed the commitment to find a solution to the issue through dialogue on the spirit of close and friendly bilateral relationship.
“Our map accurately depicts the sovereign territory of India. The new map has in no manner revised our boundary with Nepal. The boundary delineation exercise with Nepal is on-going under the existing mechanism,” he said. “And at the same time, this is very important to note that both sides should guard against the vested interests, who are out there to create some differences between the two countries.”
