Charikot, Dec. 21: Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has said that the Council of Ministers recommended the dissolution of the parliament in order to prevent division of the nation.
Addressing a welcome programme organised by Gauri Shankar Gaunpalika-8, Minister Gurung said, "As various games being played nationally and internationally could invite a serious accident in the nation, the government had to recommend dissolution of the parliament to receive new mandate of the people."
Alleging that the people within the ruling Nepal Communist Party were involved in various conspiracies, Minister Gurung said that it might invite a serious threat to the nation and nationality. "Prime Minister Oli took this step to retain the unity within the nation and to prevent manipulations from foreign nations," he added.
Minister Gurung also called the Nepali citizens to get ready for the mid-term election. "The government is committed to ensuring prosperity and development of the nation," he clarified.
