Kathmandu, Dec 17 (RSS):
Newly-elected member of the House of Representatives Bidya Bhattarai has taken oath of office and secrecy today.
Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives Dr Shivamaya Tumbahamphe administered the oath of office to Bhattarai at the federal parliament secretariat.
Bhattarai was elected the parliamentarian from Kaski-2 in the by-election held on November 30.
The constituency witnessed the by-election after the then Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Prasad Adhikari died in a helicopter crash.
Bhattarai is the spouse of late Adhikari.
After the swearing in ceremony, parliamentarian Bhattarai said that she would work in a role assigned by the Constitution of Nepal.
