Kathmandu, July 4: As debates on parliament dissolution from the lawyers on behalf of Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota ended earlier today, the reply debate on the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) on behalf of the writ petitioners has started at the Supreme Court (SC).
The timeframe for the replay debate is fixed three hours.
Senior advocate Raman Kumar Shrestha began the reply debate in the constitutional bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR and Justices Dilip Kumar Karki, Meera Khadka, Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada and Dr Aananda Mohan Bhattarai.
Earlier, senior advocate Shyam Prasad Kharel, who south for HoR reinstatement on behalf of Speaker Sapkota, argued that there had been a violation of the constitution that requires a vote of confidence and that President failed to protect the constitution.
