Kathmandu, Dec 21 : Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has summoned a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) Business Advisory Committee this morning.
The HoR meeting is scheduled to take place at 1.00 pm today. Before the meeting, the Speaker summoned the business advisory committee meeting.
According to the Speaker secretariat, the business advisory committee meeting is taking place at Shanker Hall of the federal parliament building in New Baneswor at 11.30 this morning.
The meeting would mainly discuss the parliamentary meeting agenda and upcoming meeting, shared Speaker Sapkota's communications expert Shreedhar Neupane.
There is a provision that the Speaker can summon the business advisory committee meeting as per the need. As per the provision the committee comprises the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on behalf of the government, main opposition and chief whips of different political parties.
The parliamentary proceedings have been affected due to continuous obstruction of the House by the main opposition, CPN-UML.
UML has said it would continue disrupting the House until a notice relieving 14 parliament members who faced party's disciplinary action was published.
